Fertiliser key issue for Aurangabad in Kharif season

Mumbai, May 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Guardian and Industry Minister Subhash Desai on Thursday demanded that measures to ensure farmers in Aurangabad district do not face shortage of fertilisers in the coming kharif season.
Desai raised the issue in the pre-kharif review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
There is only one railway rake point for fertilizer supply in Aurangabad district. This place is crowded with cement trains leaving little space for the fertilizer train to make a stop. As such, the fertilizer meant for one district often goes to another district.
