Munawar Faruqui makes acting debut with webseries 'First Copy', trailer unleashed

Mumbai, June 17 (UNI) Popular stand-up comedian and 'Bigg Boss' winner Munawar Faruqui is all set to make his acting debut with the web series "First Copy", the trailer of which has been officially released.
The series features Faruqui in the role of Arif, a complex character who straddles the world of love, rebellion and the illicit trade of pirated films.
Munawar says, "This is a completely new world for me, and I'm honestly just grateful for the love and encouragement I've received so far. First Copy is my first step into acting, and I've tried to give it everything I've got".
Munawar hoped people would connect with the story of Arif, who is a complex character. "I'm similar to Arif in the sense that I'm determined to never go back to a life of compromises-so I really got to channel that hustler energy into my performance.
"I'm nervous, excited, and really looking forward to seeing how the audience reacts," he added.
The web series is slated to premiere on June 20 on Amazon MX Player. UNI NST SSP
