'Kuberaa' is one of my most special films: Dhanush

Mumbai, June 17 (UNI) For National award-winning actor Dhanush, "Kuberaa" is more than just another film, it's a landmark chapter in his journey as an actor.
Helmed by National Award winning director Shekhar Kammula, "Kuberaa" features a stellar ensemble including Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh.
Speaking at the pre-release event in Hyderabad, Dhanush shared his emotional connection with the film, "Sekhar garu gave me one of the most meaningful roles. This is my 52nd Tamil and second Telugu film, and one of my most special."
Dhanush further expressed his admiration for Nagarjuna, saying, “Nag sir, thank you so much for such a fantastic experience. We learnt so much from you. You’re a man of class and we grew up watching your films. To share screen space with you is nothing short of magical. My sisters had big crush on you growing up"
Praising Rashmika Mandanna, Dhanush said, “Rashmika, please forget this ‘1000 crore’, ‘2000 crore’, ‘National Crush’, all this. You know, they say you are very lucky for the film, but I am saying you have made your own luck. You have worked hard for all those tags you are getting these days. It’s really wonderful. You have earned your 2000 crore and…you have earned your luck. From a little girl from Coorg to a Pan-Indian star is amazing journey. You are blessed. God bless you. And all the best for your future projects as well."
Dhanush concluded by reiterating how close Kuberaa is to his heart: “Kuberaa, like I said, is a very special film and is coming very soon. I hope you enjoy the film. Thank you."
Produced under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cinema LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd, the film is backed by Sunil Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, with Vipul Agarwal and Manish Vasisht as the co-producers, "Kuberaa" features music by Devi Sri Prasad and is slated for a nationwide release on June 20.
