'Kannappa' makers' drops trailer from the film

Mumbai, June 15 (UNI) The trailer for the epic "Kannappa", starring Vishnu Manchu, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas and Mohanlal, has been officially released, offering a thunderous preview into a mythological universe laced with valour, faith and transformation.

"Kannappa" is the passion project of Vishnu Manchu, who essays the titular role of Thinnadu, who is a great warrior and master archer, initially indifferent to faith. His entire village and tribe are under the evil eye of bad people, and he is ready to do anything to save them. The story traces Thinnadu's transformation into one of Lord Shiva's most revered devotees.

It is shown in the trailer that many people are trying to steal the Shivling, but Thinnadu protects it. Even he kills those who come to steal the Shivling and also protects the villagers from such rogue antagonists.

When Thinnadu's strength alone is not enough, Lord Shiva, played by Akshay Kumar, sends the mighty Rudra, essayed by Prabhas, to guide him toward enlightenment and surrender.

Produced by Vishnu Manchu's father Mohan Babu under his home banner and helmed by Mukesh Kumar Singh.

The film stars Vishnu Manchu, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal (cameo), Mohan Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, Nayanthara, Preeti Mukhundan and Brahmanandan in pivotal roles.

The film is particularly significant as it marks Akshay Kumar's foray into the Telugu film industry. It is slated for a global theatrical release on June 27.
