Netflix India announces second season of 'She'

Mumbai, May 19 (UNI) Netflix India on Thursday announced the return of second season of crime drama 'She' on June 17.
Taking to Instagram, Netflix India dropped the first look of the actor Aaditi S Pohankar with the caption, "Ladies and gentlemen… H̶e̶r̶ SHE! Bhumi is back in season 2 of SHE and we can’t keep our excitement undercover."
The lead actor Aaditi, played the role of female constable who goes undercover to bust an underworld gang also shared the same clip with the caption, "Where do Bhumi’s choices lead her? Does she play or get played #SheS2OnNetflix, coming on 17th June, only on Netflix! SHE is a mystery waiting to be solved."
Aaditi who played Bhumika Pardeshi character, gave an insight into what one can expect and said, "We’re so excited to bring 'She' back. It's been a very special project, something that we've held close to our hearts for almost two years now. Personally, I relate a lot more to the characters that are dealing with their own vulnerabilities. It's wonderful to be able to express that on-screen. I think vulnerability makes you more relatable and makes the audience connect more deeply with your character."
Actor Vishwas Kini also posted the clip and wrote,"Does Fernandes win the fight against Nayak or is there a bigger player? #SheS2OnNetflix, coming on 17th June, only on Netflix."
The second season will start from where the first season ended on a cliffhanger scene.
The crime thriller is written and created by Imtiaz Ali, the seven episodes in season 2 are directed by Arif Ali and produced by Viacom 18 Studios’ Tipping Point and Window Seat Films.
The last season of 'She' premiered on Netflix on March 20, 2020.
Season one explored the duality in Bhumika’s life as an undercover constable in the volatile underbelly of Mumbai. The thrill and danger empowered Bhumi like she herself had never imagined! And now with this new found liberation and confidence, she finds herself plunged right back into the dangers of the dark nights and dark alleys of Mumbai. Aaditi Pohankar brilliantly captures the journey towards self-exploration and empowerment while wrestling with the twin forces of duty and desire in 'She'.
The crime thriller series also stars Kishore Kumar G, Vishwas Kini, Shivani Rangole, Sam Mohan, Suhita Thatte, amongst others in pivotal roles.
