Embrace sports & education, shun growing menace of drug abuse: Farooq urges youth

Jammu, Apr 21 (UNI) Former chief minister and Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Monday encouraged the young participants to stay focused on sports and education and avoid the menace of drug addiction that is increasingly affecting the younger generation.
Speaking after inaugurating the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Tournament here at Maulana Azad Stadium, Dr Abdullah also appreciated the efforts of Provincial President of J&K Youth National Conference Tejinder Pal Singh Aman for his dedication and commitment to the anti-drug campaign.
The tournament is being held under the theme ‘Say No to Drugs’ and aims to channel the energy of the youth towards constructive and healthy activities.
