Egypt condemns Israeli far-right minister's visit to Al-Aqsa Mosque

Cairo, July 18 (UNI) Egypt on Thursday condemned Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's visit to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem.
In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry labeled the move, coincided with the Israeli Knesset's passing of a resolution rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state, "an obvious evasion of international legitimacy resolutions and the terms of reference of the peace process."
Egypt warned that these provocative measures amid Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and repeated incursions into the West Bank represent "irresponsible escalations."
