New Delhi, Jan 12 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will be on an official visit to Spain on January 13-14. This will be his first visit to Spain as EAM.
During the visit, EAM will meet the leadership of Spain and hold discussions with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Manuel Albares, on the entire gamut of bilateral relations and regional and global matters of mutual interest, a statement said.
He will also address the 9th Annual Conference of Spanish Ambassadors and meet the Indian community, the statement added.
The visit of EAM to Spain follows the India visit by the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in October last year, during which the latter along with PM Modii jointly inaugurated the Tata Advanced System Limited (TASL)-Airbus facility in Vadodara to manufacture C-295 military aircraft in India.
The Tata-Airbus facility is the first private sector final assembly line for military aircraft in India.
Also last year India opened its new consulate in Barcelona, Spain announced its decision to open a new consulate in Bengaluru.
