Doha/New Delhi, Dec 7 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is in Doha, on Saturday held talks with the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, with WEF CEO Borge Brende, and the Cyprus Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos.
In posts on X, the EAM said:
“Delighted to meet PM & FM @MBA_AlThani_ of Qatar today in Doha.
“A productive discussion on our bilateral relations and ongoing efforts to further strengthen them.
Exchanged views on the developments in Gaza, Syria and the region.”
On his meeting with the World Economic Forum CEO, he posted:
“A good conversation with @borgebrende of @wef in Doha today.
“Discussed the global economic and political scenario.”
On his meeting with his Cyprus counterpart, he posted:
“Glad to meet FM @ckombos of Cyprus today.
“Spoke about developments in the Mediterranean as well as our bilateral partnership.”
EAM also met with the Qatari Minister of Commerce & Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani.
“Pleased to meet Qatari Minister of Commerce & Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani and MoS Ahmed Al Sayed on the sidelines of the Doha Forum today.”
He also participated in the Doha Forum panel discussion on the topic ‘Conflict Resolution in a New Era’, along with the Qatari PM and FM Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and the Norway Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide.
“Pleased to participate @DohaForum panel today on the topic “Conflict Resolution in a New Era” in Doha today along with PM & FM @MBA_AlThani_ of Qatar and FM @EspenBarthEide of Norway.
“As the conflicts around us increase, the need of the hour is more diplomacy, not less.”
EAM is in Doha to participate in the Doha Forum at the invitation of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. This is the 22nd edition of the Doha Forum on the theme ‘The Innovation Imperative’.
