Delhi court grants bail to Shankar Mishra in Air India urination case

New Delhi, Jan 31 (UNI) A Delhi Court after hearing arguments on behalf of Prosecution and Defence Counsel granted bail to Shankar Mishra who was arrested on the allegations of urinating on a woman passenger in Air India flight between New York and Delhi.
Mishra moved the bail application in Sessions Court after dismissal of the bail application by Metropolitan Magistrate.
Harjyot Singh Bhalla, Additional Session Judge after hearing granted bail to Mishra by levelling the conditions to furnish a personal bond of Rs. 1 lakh.
Counsel for Mishra submitted before the court that investigation in the matter has been completed and no fruitful purpose would be serve by keeping accused behind the bar. He further submitted that the applicant is ready to fulfill the terms and conditions levelled by the court.
Prosecution opposed the bail application by submitting before the court that accused is non-cooperative and has threatened the complainant and India has been defamed internationally due to the incident. Delhi Police requested the court the bail application of the accused may kindly be dismissed in the interest of justice.
It is alleged that Mishra has urinated on a 70 years old woman in an intoxicated condition in the business class of an Air India flight on last year November, 26.
Delhi Police of Indira Gandhi International Airport(IGIA) police station has registered an FIR No 6 under various sections of Indian Penal Code against Mishra and arrested Mishra from Bengaluru.

New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) The Second G20 Sherpas meeting under India’s G20 Presidency, chaired by India’s G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, will take place in the picturesque village of Kumarakom, Kerala, from March 30 to April 2.
The four-day gathering of over 120 delegates from G20 Members, nine invitee countries, and various international and regional organizations, will witness multilateral discussions on G20’s economic and developmental priorities as well as on addressing contemporary global challenges. The deliberations will focus both on policy approaches and concrete implementation, an official statement said.
