Death in TN Liquor tragedy at 48 : TN Minister

Chennai, June 21 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma.Subramanian on Friday evening said the toll in Kallkurichi spurious liquor tragedy stood at 48, that included three women.
Talking to reporters in Puducherry after visiting those undergoing treatment at the JIPMER hospital, he said since the people affected by drinking the spurious liquor were hesitant to come to the hospital for treatment, the toll was on the higher side after their vitals organs had started failing.
"That's why the government identified those who had consumed the liquor, went to their house and brought them to the hospital for treatment", he added.
