Centre not providing funds to Maha: State Cong chief

Mumbai, May 20 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole on Friday said the current situation in the country is extremely worrying, as he highlighted how decisions taken by the Narendra Modi government has hurt not just individual but also his state government.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi government has not raised any tax in two and a half years. The GST has left nothing in the hands of the state and the central government has exhausted crores of rupees of Maharashtra, Patole said.
Most of the money in the coffers of the country goes through Mumbai, Maharashtra, but the central government is reluctant to provide funds to Maharashtra, this is an injustice to Maharashtra, he said.
