Central team to monitor drought in Marathwada on Dec 13 &14

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dec 9 (UNI) Due to the failure of expected rain in many parts of the Maharashtra as well as in Marathwada region this year, a drought-like situation has arisen. Therefore, a central team will come to monitor the drought in the affected parts in the state including in Marathwada region.

According to the Revenue and Forest Department, Relief and Rehabilitation sources stated, a 12-member team of the Union Ministry of Agriculture led by Joint secretary Priya Rajan will visit different districts of state and Marathwada to review the drought and kharif losses in the state.
