BSF seize 2 drones, 2.98 kg of heroin in Amritsar area

Jalandhar, Feb 17 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled another attempt of Pakistan-based smugglers to allegedly send drugs and narcotics from across the border to Indian Territory.
Based on specific inputs, vigilant BSF troops conducted three successful operations in the border areas of Amritsar district, leading to the recovery of two drones and contrabands suspected to be heroin weighing more than 2.980 kg.
A spokesperson of the Punjab Frontier Headquarter of the BSF here on Monday said that during a search operation conducted late on Sunday night the BSF troops recovered a drone of DJI Mavic 3 category along with one packet of contraband suspected to be heroin weighing 550 gm from a farming field adjacent to villageRajatal in Amritsar district.
