BSF and BGB hold sector commander-level border coordination meeting in Bangladesh

Shillong, Apr 18 (UNI) A high-level sector commander-level coordination meeting was held between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at the BGB Border Outpost (BOP) Bijoypur in Bangladesh on Thursday, a BSF official said on Friday.
The BSF delegation was led by Lalit Mohan Sharma, DIG, Sector HQ BSF Tura, while Colonel Sarker Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, Sector Commander of BGB Mymensingh Sector, led the BGB delegates. Battalion commanders and staff officers from both forces also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, issues such as trans-border crime, illegal infiltration, real-time information sharing, and other matters related to effective border management were discussed between the two sides.
