BJP releases election manifesto for upcoming LS polls

New Delhi, April 14 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released its election manifesto, Sankalp Patra', for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, focusing on "developed India."
This comes on a day marking the birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.
The manifesto was in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and party President JP Nadda.
With a focus on youth empowerment, women's welfare, farmer support, and the upliftment of the underprivileged, the Sankalp Patra reflects the party's dedication to inclusive growth and addressing the aspirations of diverse sections of society.
Addressing the gathering party, President JP Nadda said, "Our manifesto reflects what the founding fathers of the BJP had envisioned for the country."
He added that PM Modi has simplified the vision for the common man to understand and called it 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas'.
"In 2014, when Prime Minister Modi was elected leader of the parliamentary party, he said, 'Our government is dedicated to the poor, the villages, and the person standing at the last rung of society'. Putting the same into action in the last 10 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the country has worked to take all these dimensions forward," JP Nadda said in his welcome address at the manifesto release programme now.
Nadda said, "The focus on welfare and development at its core, JP Nadda, the BJP national president, claimed that 4 crore pucca houses under the PMAY have been built for the poor."
He added that BJP workers stand for development and social justice after being inspired by Ambedkar's ideology of social justice with development.
"Under the leadership of PM Modi, 2 lakh Panchayats have been linked with optical fibre cables, and 60000 villages have been linked with pacca—all-weather roads,' said JP Nadda before the release of party manifesto for 2024 LS elections.
Speaking at the event, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we have successfully worked towards fulfilling the resolution of a strong India in the last 5 years.'
'Now we are going to present our new manifesto in front of 140 crore citizens of India, adding that I am glad and satisfied that, under the leadership of Modi Ji, we have fulfilled every promise made to the countrymen. Be it the Sankalp Patra of 2014 or the Ghoshna Patra of 2019, under the splendid leadership of Modi Ji, we have fulfilled every Sankalp." Rajnath Singh said.
