BJP highlights power crisis in Central Nicobar region

Port Blair, Dec 01 (UNI) BJP National Executive Member Vishal Jolly on Thursday highlighted the issues pertaining to lack of power supply, street lighting and non–availability of generators, saying these were seriously affecting the lives of people belonging to Katchal, Teressa, Chowra & Nancowry group of Islands.
Speaking to newspersons after concluding his tour to Nancowry Group of Islands, Jolly said during his visit to Nicobar District he experienced the crisis in the power situation and has also written to the administration on the matter.
In his letter, he mentioned that there has been a complete blackout in Dering Island of Nicobar District for the past four months as there is no power supply at all.
