Bairstow, Brook shine as England triumph over Namibia

Antigua, June 16 (UNI) Jonny Bairstow and Harry Brook's partnership helped England secure a crucial victory against Namibia in a rain-shortened match here on early hours of Sunday IST.
The game, delayed by three hours, was reduced to 10 overs per side due to a brief shower.
Bairstow and Brook's half-century stand revived England after a shaky start, allowing them to post a competitive total of 122/5. Bairstow scored a vital 31 runs, while Brook remained unbeaten with a solid 47.
Chasing a revised target of 127 runs, Namibia struggled to build momentum. Despite efforts from Michael van Lingen, who scored 33, and David Wiese with 27, Namibia could only manage 84/3 in their 10 overs.
England's bowlers, particularly Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan, kept the pressure on, securing a comfortable 41-run victory for the defending champions.

Montreal (Canada), Jan 20 (UNI) The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on Monday announced that it will not appeal in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the one-month ban imposed on Polish women's tennis player Iga Swiatek, for testing positive for trimetazidine (TMZ), a prohibited substance, last August.
On November 28, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA), the independent body that delivers anti-doping programmes on behalf of the International Tennis Federation, announced that Swiatek had accepted a one-month ban after the agency determined that her positive test for TMZ was caused by a contaminated melatonin product that is regulated as a medication in Poland and was sourced from a reputable pharmacy in that country.
