Atrocities, oppressor don't last for long: Azam

Rampur (UP), May 20 (UNI) Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and MLA from Rampur Sadar seat Mohammad Azam Khan said on Friday that the atrocities and oppressor don't last for long and the history is witness that when the atrocities end, the oppressor ends too.
Azam was released on bail as per the order of the Supreme Court on Friday morning, after spending 26 months and 24 days in jail. The SP leader was accorded a warm welcome by his supporters on his arrival in Rampur.
Addressing the people near Mumtaz Park, close to his residence, Azam said, "I have seen these lanes after three-and-a-half years. It's a big surprise that I am standing here alive, because the place I was kept in, was a dungeon of the British era, where the people were hanged the next day. There was also a hanging house next to mine.
