AP: Building Construction workers union demands revival of welfare board

Kakinada, Feb 27 (UNI) Building construction workers union has demanded the Andhra Pradesh government to revive their welfare board and implement welfare schemes by releasing funds due from 2019.
At an emergency meeting held at the Union office in Meharnagar area here on Tuesday, Thatipaka Madhu, President of the Union has alleged that the funds accrued in form of cess were not spent for the welfare of the construction workers but diverted to other schemes.
He demanded the state government to refund Crores of rupees diverted to other schemes , to the construction workers welfare Board without further delay .
