Indore, Feb 8 (UNI) In one of the most dominant batting displays, Anustup Majumdar (120) and Sudip Kumar Gharami (112) slammed centuries each to put Bengal in a commanding position at 307/4 at stumps on Day 1 against Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy semifinals at the Holkar Stadium here on Wednesday.
In his 206-ball innings, Anustup smashed 13 fours and 1 six, while Gharami in his 213-ball knock, struck 12 boundaries and 2 sixes.
Piling more misery on the home side, the duo also stitched together a mammoth 241-run partnership for the third wicket to put the visitors in a strong position.
