AG's opinion will be taken on holding panchayat polls: Minister

Panaji, May 16 (UNI) Goa Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho on Monday said that the state government will seek Advocate General's opinion on holding panchayat elections in the state the light of a Supreme Court order related to OBC quota in the local body polls.

The dates for the panchayat polls would be announced only after legal opinion is taken from state Advocate General Devidas Pangam, Mr Godinho told reporters in the city.
