Aahida Singh triumphs in AITA U-18 tennis championship on dream debut

Bengaluru, April 20 (UNI) In a stunning display of talent and determination, 13-year-old Aahida Singh clinched the maiden U-18 title at the AITA Championship Series-7 (CS-7) U-18 tennis championship held at the Transform Tennis Academy.
Making her debut in the U-18 category as a qualifier, the young prodigy from Bengaluru shocked many by defeating older and higher-ranked opponents throughout the tournament. Aahida, an eighth-standard student at Clarence Public School, dropped just a single set in the entire competition, winning all her seven matches.
Her remarkable journey to the title saw her upset the second seed, Madhavi Mishra, in the pre-quarterfinals. In the finals, she showcased her prowess by defeating the seventh seed, Dharani Dhanyata Sreenivasa, with a scoreline of 6-0, 6-3.
