4 IS militants killed in N Iraq

Baghdad, Dec 2 (UNI) The Iraqi military said that it killed four Islamic State (IS) militants on Saturday in the country's northern province of Nineveh.
The media office of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command said in a statement that Iraqi soldiers clashed with the militants after spotting them via surveillance cameras in the Makhmour area, some 100 km southeast of Nineveh's provincial capital Mosul.
The soldiers surrounded the extremist militants at an abandoned house and killed them all, including two wearing explosive belts, and seized their weapons, the statement added.
