29 candidates' nomination papers declared invalid in Cooperative Sugar factory election

Kolhapur, Mar 29 (UNI) Total 29 candidates' nomination papers of opposition front led by former minister Satej Patil, has been announced as invalid in scrutiny on Wednesday in the election of Chhatrapati Rajaram Cooperative Sugar Factory (CRCSF) in Kasba Bavda, a suburb of the city, under the chairmanship of former MLC Mahadevrao Mahadik, a staunch opponent of Patil.
In general election of CRCSF, scheduled for April 23, a number of candidates from both the parties filed nomination papers. Ruling party took objections on 29 candidates of opposition front led by Mr Patil as these candidates not provided their sugarcane to CRCSF. Objections were accepted by election officer and their nomination papers announced invalid in scrutiny.
Meanwhile Mr Patil said that he would appeal in the court against the "invalid" decision.
