147 IS suspects detained in Türkiye

Ankara, Mar 26 (UNI) Turkish police on Tuesday detained 147 people suspected of being members of the Islamic State (IS) group in nationwide operations, according to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.
Yerlikaya said on the social media platform X that the police detained the suspects in simultaneous operations across 30 provinces and seized a large amount of foreign currency, organizational documents, and digital materials.
The suspects have allegedly carried out armed activities in conflict zones and provided financial support for the IS, said the minister.
