104 candidates of Maha Assembly demand EVM -VVPAT data verification

Mumbai Dec 6 (UNI) As many as 104 candidates from 95 Maharashtra Assembly constituencies have demanded the Election Commission verify and match the EVM and VVPAT data.
According to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), the demand for re-verification was received from 95 assembly constituencies covering 31 districts, and would be undertaken for the EVMs and VVPATs of 755 election booths.
The prominent candidates who have demanded and submitted their applications include Kedar Dighe who contested against Ekanth Shinde from Kopari Pachpakhadi; Yugendra Pawar who fought against his uncle Ajit Pawar from Baramati; Rohini Khadse, daughter of NCP leader Eknath Khadse, from Muktainagar; former Minister Rajesh Tope from Ghansawangi; Hitendra Thakur and his son Kshitij Thakur from Vasai and Nalasopara respectively.
